Benefits

Diolaze is advanced laser hair removal that safely and gently eliminates unwanted hair. It produces permanent results, unlike traditional methods such as waxing, shaving, bleaching or using depilatory creams. Although prior laser treatments usually required 8 sessions, 4 to 6 treatments are typically sufficient to get permanently smooth, hair-free skin. Diolaze also has the largest built-in skin cooling surface of all hair removal devices. This cooling surface makes treatment more comfortable than other devices, with most patients noting that Diolaze is virtually painless.

How Does it Work?

The Diolaze laser uses an optimal energy wave length to penetrate the skin safely and directly affect the hair follicle. The laser light causes permanent changes to the cells around the hair follicle and prevents it from future growth. Multiple sessions are required because the follicle is in active growth, not a resting phase. Patients see a reduction of hair within the first couple of treatments and will achieve optimal results in 4-6 sessions.

Avoid tanning for a few weeks prior to treatment and use sunscreen regularly. Avoid any topical irritant agents for 2-3 days before treatment. Shave the area to be addressed the night before the treatment. Following each treatment, apply moisturizer to the focus area. Makeup may be applied immediately after facial treatments if the skin is intact. Sunblock should be applied regularly for 3 weeks following treatment.

Healing from this procedure is quick and downtime is short. You may experience some swelling and redness for 1-2 days after the procedure, which does not require any specific treatment.

As with all laser hair removal methods, Diolaze laser hair removal requires a series of treatments. Although hair is reduced with each treatment, the best results are typically observed after 4-6 sessions administered every 4-8 weeks. As treatment proceeds, the intervals between sessions becomes longer. The exact number of sessions and intervals will differ depending on your hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone.

Facial hair treatments are typically administered every 4-6 weeks for the first 3 sessions. In subsequent sessions, treatment intervals may increase to 8 weeks. Body hair treatments are typically administered every 6-8 weeks for the first 3 sessions. In subsequent sessions, treatment intervals may increase to every 10-12 weeks. Legs may require 15 week intervals between sessions. Touchup treatment sessions may be needed for sporadic new hair growth due to individual physiology.
