Profractional is a laser procedure used for dramatically improving overall appearance of your skin, including: wrinkles, scars tone, and texture. The procedure is particularly helpful for Melasma & Acne scars.
How Does it Work?
Profractional uses a Microlaser beam to treat thousands of pinpoint areas of your skin. Because only a fraction of the skin is directly treated with the laser, the surrounding skin is left untouched. A key benefit of the fractional procedure is that the untouched skin helps the neighboring, treated skin heal more quickly.
You should come to the consultation prepared to discuss your medical history. This will include information about any medical conditions, drug allergies, medical treatments you have received, previous surgeries, and medications that you currently take. Be sure to tell your provider if you have ever had x-ray treatments of your facial skin such as those used in the treatment of acne or if you have had a prior chemical peeling procedure. Current or past use of AccutaneT, as well as Retin-A, and other topical skin preparations, must be reported to your provider. For your safety, it is important that you provide complete information.
Results from profractional laser treatments are impressive and can be similar to laser resurfacing, but require much less downtime. This is a significant reason why this type of treatment has grown significantly in popularity.
We recommend anywhere from 1-5 treatments depending on your skin.
