Benefits
Restylane and Juvederm are dermal fillers that have been FDA approved for use in cosmetic treatments. These Injectable gels are very effective in correcting static wrinkles and softening deeper lines and folds. We use naturally occurring compounds that also help replenish and rehydrate the skin. Common uses include volume replacement, enhancement around the eyes, contouring the jaw line & lifting the cheeks and corners of the mouth. There are many other fillers with different properties. We will choose the filler which will give the best results for you.
How Does it Work?
The latest generation injectable gels are made from the body’s naturally occurring Hylauronic Acid which assists in skin hydration by attracting and holding water and also combines with collagen and elastin to provide skin structure and elasticity. Hylauronic Acid is gradually lost from the skin due to the effects of aging and sun damage as a result sagging and creases develop. These fillers help to restore volume and tone as well as correcting wrinkles and folds.
Do not take any aspirin, ibuprofen or similar products (Advil, Motrin, Aleve) for 2 weeks prior to filler. Avoid fish oil, Vitamin E, and gingko biloba for 2 weeks prior to filler. Take Arnica 1-2 days prior to your procedure by taking 1 capsule twice a day. For dermal filler injection, you can start taking the capsule on the day of injection. Clear your schedule after filler so you can take time to ice your face and relax.
Dermal-fillers like Restylane, Juvederm, and Radiesse are effective non-surgical treatments to rejuvenate your appearance. While the treatment is performed in about an hour and the effects are immediate, you may need 1-2 weeks to see the full results of your treatment and recover from any bruising and swelling.
It is best not to go more than 6-9 months between filler appointments. By maintaining this schedule you will not only be able to maintain your look, but also make continued improvements.
