Forma is a non-invasive skin tightening procedure which uses radiofrequency to target deep skin layers, build collagen, improve skin elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and loose skin. Key areas treated on the body include the face, neck, arms, abdomen and knees, as well as any other areas that may have loose skin. Although the primary focus of the procedure is skin tightening, it may also improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and skin quality, resulting in more glowing and radiant skin.
How does it work?
Forma is a unique device that uses radiofrequency energy to heat deep skin tissues which stimulates subdermal collagen production. is The highly accurate device controls temperatures to penetrate only the deeper tissues of the skin, preventing any surface burns or skin irritation. It is non-surgical, comfortable, and effectively induces collagen production. Visible results are typically achieved after 3-4 treatments and optimal results can be seen in approximately 6 months.
No pre-procedure preparation is necessary. The treatment generally takes less than an hour, can be used on light and dark skin types, and does not require anesthesia, creams, or cooling devices. Although the skin may appear mildly red with some associated mild swelling immediately following treatment,, makeup can typically be applied directly after.
There is little or no downtime associated with the Forma procedure. There may be transient redness and mild swelling immediately after treatment, which typically disappears within a day.
3-6 sessions are suggested every 1-2 weeks, and longer treatments may help reduce the overall number of sessions necessary to achieve desired results. Thicker skin typically requires more treatment sessions. Single maintenance sessions can be scheduled every 3 months once desired results are achieved.
