Brow Heaviness
What is Brow Heaviness?
It appears as low set or droopy eyebrows. In the forehead there are muscles that elevate the brow and others that pull it down or depress it. An imbalance between theses muscles may result in droopy brows. The main reason for brow heaviness is aging but it is also more commonly found in certain ethnic groups cosmetically resulting in a tired & serious look.
How do we treat the condition?
Non-surgical treatments may be very effective in lifting the brow. Botox temporarily relaxes the muscles that depress the eyebrows and results in an unopposed action of muscles that lift the eyebrow frequently resulting in a significant improvement. Small amounts of dermal fillers placed in the lateral brow will also result in a subtle lift.
